Itinerary Detail

Day 1: Kigali

You will be met on arrival by a representative holding a sign board with your name on it. Assistance will be given with the immigration process and your luggage collection. You will then be escorted outside the airport and introduced to your driver/guides who will be waiting for you.

You will be met on arrival at Kigali Airport and transferred to your hotel. Private, one way transfer.

Approximate driving time: 20 – 30 minutes.Accommodation at Heaven Boutique Hotel (P) in a deluxe king room on a bed and breakfast basis for 1 night.

Day 2: Kigali – Volcanoes National Park

You will be met by your private vehicle with driver/guide for your Kigali City Tour and Genocide Museum Visit with lunch in Kigali.

Accommodation at One & Only Gorilla’s Nest Lodge in a king forest tree house room on a full board basis for 3 nights.

The luxurious One & Only Gorilla’s Nest boasts the enviable position of being the nearest resort to Volcanoes National Park. Here, guests will find an intimate collection of 21 lodges and suites, swathed in eucalyptus and volcano views.

Day 3: Mountain Gorilla Trekking

A real lifetime experience! Report time at park Head Quarters is 07h00. There are a total of 96 gorilla permits available each day with a max. of 8 trekkers visiting any one group. You will be divided into groups according to your level of fitness and allocated a Gorilla family. Each group’s Lead Guide briefs the trekkers of the trekking procedures as well as the “do’s and don’ts” while in the presence of gorillas. After the briefing, trekkers return to their respective vehicles for the drive up the mountain to the starting point. Trekking can take from two hours to a full day, depending on the gorilla’s movements. Once located, visitors can spend one hour observing the gorillas.

Day 4: Optional 2^nd Gorilla Trek or Golden Monkey Trek

Day 5: Kigali

Return drive to Kigali. Accommodation at Heaven Boutique Hotel in a deluxe king room on a bed and breakfast basis for 1 night.

Day 6: Last Day

You will be transferred from your hotel to Kigali Airport. Private, one way transfer.
